This years People’s Festival’s 2012 Burns Supper will take place on Saturday 28th January at ‘The Canon’s Gait’, Canongate, Edinburgh. We are delighted to announce that the Scottish Parliament’s Deputy Presiding Officer Elaine Smith MSP will be our guest speaker this year, Elaine is the first woman speaker we have had and she will explain the continuing relevance of Robert Burns life and work today. In the past we have enjoyed the views of many distinguished Burns aficionados including John McAllion, Campbell Martin and Patrick Scott Hogg.
